A live performance for an exhibition at a gallery in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA: on May 12, 2007 at 9:00pm EST a single syllable was shouted in New York City, facing Minneapolis. The sound traveled as far as my voice allowed.

However, due to the nature of standing waves, which propagate through space at certain resonant frequencies, some pitches of the complex human voice traveled unimpeded halfway across the country to the show's opening. While faint to the point of inaudibility, the sound arrived in Minneapolis approximately two hours after the initial shout (the speed of sound is 761mph, traveling 1,200 miles).
