Part of a series of conceptually-edited films, this piece is created based on a tiny fragment of the Mike Nichols film "The Graduate". In the middle of the original film, the camera pans across a yellow flower in the foreground, for a moment huge and out of focus.
This frame acts as a seed by which the rest of the film is processed. The entire film is cropped and blurred to that, upon reaching the scene with the flower, the entire screen glows yellow. The sound has also been manipulated using a Max/MSP program to stretch and blend all music and dialog (a sort of sonic equivalent to blurring), to become ethereal, droning, and song-like.
The film plays in it's entirety with no edits.
